Axiom8 Rolls out New Ossia
Collaborative communications technology provider Axiom8 Inc. is rolling out version 2.0 of its Ossia collaboration software. Ossia 2.0 adds enhanced functionality including application sharing, viewing and remote desktop control, to help companies save time and money and increase productivity.

Company officials said Ossia is the first Dynamic Collaborative Communications application for businesses that improves communication and connects people-to-people, regardless of their physical location. With the addition of document collaboration, Ossia 2.0 offers a complete tool for enterprise-wide contact, communication and collaboration.

Communication options with Ossia 2.0 include one-to-one or group instant messaging, audio or videoconferencing with multiple conference participants using both PCs and phones. All instant message text is encrypted and transcripts can be saved.

Toronto-based VirtualThere, which provides pervasive messaging applications, launched Expresso IM Exchange Edition, an extension that enhances Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. By deploying Expresso IM Exchange Edition together with Microsoft Exchange, companies can enable real-time business communication closely integrated with their existing messaging platform.

Genesys Meeting Center 2.0 provides advanced meeting functionality including the integration of audio, Web and desktop multipoint video, enhanced Microsoft Outlook Calendar support and Microsoft MSN Messenger integration. With Genesys Meeting Center 2.0, the company has created a fully integrated solution that brings conference room benefits to the desktop.
